Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's or Parkinson's is a journey that often requires a deep well of strength and patience. It’s a path that can also feel isolating and overwhelming at times. However, you don’t have to navigate this challenging experience alone. Osprey Lodge, soon to be Alto, is proud to host a monthly Caregiver Support Group designed specifically for caregivers of individuals living with Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s diseases.
Empathy and Insight in Every Meeting
Our Caregiver Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month at 2:00 pm in the community room. It’s a safe, welcoming space where you can meet others who truly understand the physical and emotional challenges you face. Each session provides a chance to share experiences, offer practical advice, and receive the emotional support that is so crucial for your well-being.
Why Join Our Support Group?
Shared Experiences: Connect with others who are on a similar path. Sharing your experiences can help alleviate the burden of caregiving and make your journey feel more manageable.
Gain Valuable Insights: Learn new strategies and resources that other caregivers use to manage their caregiving responsibilities. Enhance your ability to care for your loved one as well as for yourself.
Emotional Support: It’s important to have a support system that can offer comfort and understanding. Our group provides a compassionate environment where you can express your feelings without judgment.
You Are Not Alone: Perhaps the most comforting aspect of attending our support group is the realization that you are not alone. There are others who share similar struggles, and together, strength can be drawn.
